Chris launched the idea for Social Media Club as a Blog in July of 2006, for the purpose of bringing together people with an interest in creating and consuming all forms of media in the “Web 2.0″ world, developing a greater understanding of what works best and share that with others. Chris also serves as the Executive Director of the not for profit BrainJams, Inc. An Internet visionary with over 12 years of virtual community and digital marketing experience, Chris consults both startups and large corporations on how to authentically engage with customers and potential customers through Social Media. His holistic understanding of markets encompasses strategic, creative and technological capabilities, which allow him to identify key insights and emergent patterns before they are widely seen by others. Over the past year and a half he has explored practical applications of social learning theory through what is popularly called “unconferences.” He leverages his strategic planning and group facilitation talent to help companies better understand the markets they serve and how to better serve them. Chris also serves on the advisory boards for BuzzLogic, an influence measurement service volunteers his time to support other community events around Blogging, Podcasting, Vlogging and all things Web 2.0.
